World Boxing Championships Chicago 2007
Participating countries climb to 118
  
The total number of countries registered to compete at the AIBA World Boxing Championships Chicago 2007 has risen to 118 with eight federations having been accepted as additional late entries, for reasons pertaining to unavoidable circumstances in their home country.
  
The new countries - Costa Rica, Israel, Jordan, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Trinidad and Tobago and Vietnam - filed an official explanation with their entry forms giving AIBA grounds to receive their belated entries.
  
The AIBA World Boxing Championships Chicago 2007, which also double as the opening 2008 Olympic qualifying event, will be the biggest world championships in AIBA history. The 118 entries stand at 44 more than the previous record of 74 set in 2005.
  
The tournament will start on October 23 before finishing on November 3. An AIBA Executive Committee meeting and AIBA Extraordinary Congress will also take place on October 21 and 22 respectively.

For Thailand, the Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand will send boxers to train with Coach Juan Fontanial in CUBA for 3 sets.
  
First set: Manas Boonchamnong + Suriya Prasathinpimai, who will fly on 17 Aug.
Second set: Amnard Reunrueng + Sailom Ardee
Third set: Somjit Joho + Worapoj Petchkhum
  
And Gen. Taweep, the chairman of Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand hope to get at least 3 title to participate to Olympic in Beijing China 2008

Gen. Taweeb Chantararoj also talks about the new generation of Amateur boxers that he will select boxer from ‘Youth Amateur boxing 2007’ 4-8 boxers from each division and plan to held the tournament competition for them every month in new ‘Boxing training Sport Center’.
  
However, Gen. Taweep will find more sponsors to support the boxers and believe that Thailand will have good amateur boxers a lot within 5 years.

After Manas Boonchamnong comes back to present himself with Gen. Taweep Chantarawiroj at Amateur boxing Association since 6 Aug 2007.
  
Gen. Taweep said “Now, our international coordinator already applied Mexico visa for Manas and air-ticket is ready also”.
  
“Manas has to fly alone to CUBA late at night of 12 Aug, he has only 2 months training before fight in ‘World Championship 2007’ in Chicago, USA and I will announce later who will fly to train in CUBA with Coach Juan Fontanial”.
  
“I also repeat with coach Fontanial that he has to train him very hard and has to report everything back to Association often”.
  
However, Somrak Kamsing, the Olympic Gold medal from Atlanta, Georgia, USA 1996 said “Manas is still young and he isn’t drink and smoke neither, if he train good and follow by the training schedule , I think it is not to difficult for him to be 1 of 8 representative of World Championship“

Gen. Kovid Phukdiphumi, President of ABCO and vice President of WBC announced to held First Light Flyweight defense title in Thailand.
  
Samson Sor Siriporn is the first one who was record in Guinness Book to be the ‘First WBC champion prisoner’ will defense her first title against Anri Nakagawa (Japan)

Gen. Kovid said “ this is her first time to defense title belt and after that , next fight she has to fight against German boxer and she may has to fight out of Thailand”
  
Samson Sor Siriporn just got break from her penalty and she can live outside the prison but still live under responsibility of Director of correction Department and they can train her in fully-training schedule and nourish all kind of food.
  
Samson now she has 2 trainers, Kaokor and Kaosai Kalaxy (2 former WBC world Champions) and all trainers confirm that Samsom improve her punching every quickly and they also said Thai people won’t believe how much she improve herself a lot and ready for her defense title on 15 Aug.
  
However, the other fighters in the same promotions are:
