Muaythai matches have been suspended for two week, the first match held is expected to draw record number of fans.

Muaythai is one among best sport which is acceptable around the world. 

Japan was tried hard to make K-1 becomes the popular tournament by awarding huge amout of prize but even K-1 tournament was mix with several fighting arts but Muaythai is still famous art to learn.

Many boxers who will join K-1 always train in Thailand or hire former Muaythai boxer to become their trainers. 

For example, superstar Mazato trained with Nuephet Samhomsin before joined the tournament last year while Hiroya, another famous boxer, also trained at Kaewsamrit camp but many of them always said they were training kickboxing, not Muaythai.

 The boxing matches will be return to normal after the 15 days mourning period for late Princess Galyani is over.

The matches will be held strating from 17 January.

Sirimongkon Singwangcha decided to join the K-1 Max Asia 70 kilogramme Tournament in Seoul, South Korea. The tournamnet will start on 24 Febuary.

Many boxers from South Korea denied to fight agianst him.

But however, the championship way for Sirimongkon is not easy as his opponent, also from South Korea, was also K-1 champion. He stopped training for six months to serve the country's service as soldier.

Samson Sor Siriporn, Thailand’s first female champion, will begin her defending title this year against Japanese Kayoko Ibata.

It will be her third defending title since she won WBC Light Flyweight title last year.

Her new opponent, Ibata, beated Samson’s camp fellow, Nong Mai Sor Siriporn, to win Strawweight title last year.

Eddy who plays key role behind Somson’s success said he was coordinating with Japanese promoter for live broadcast license for the match will likely to be held on 1 March.

Somson was not the only Thai boxer to fight abord this year. There are many other boxers are in queue.

Thailand mourns for the loss of late Princess Galyani since the New Year comes.

All Thais regret for the loss including boxing people who decided to stop organizing the matches for 15 days.

But however, the decision has been changed after a week passed,

Two Thai boxing stadium, Aom Noi and Channel 7 decided to live its Muaythai matches with the conditions that the fans would have to wear black or white, the colours for mourning.

The suspension matches also including amateur boxing fights. Kokiert Promotion which booked the broadcast programmes in the beginning and by the end of January. All have to postponed to Febuary.

There is only Galaxy Promotion by Niwat Laosuwanwat which announced PABA defending fight for Poonsawat Krating Dang Gym on 17 January before fighting with his fellow man Sonsak Singchatchawan in March.

+++The 2007  was called as sluggish year for boxing career. Thai boxer had never failed to claim champion titles for the country since Sod Jitlada, the kingdom’s eight champion, won in 1984.

+++Pongsaklek Kratingdang Gym’s lost to Japanese Neito Daisuke had made the country left no champion except female champion Samson Sor Siriporn.

+++Fans had to wait until by the end of the year when Oleydong Kratingdang Gym defeated Thai-born but Japanese supported boxer, Eagle Den.

+++Buakhao Por Pramuk was one of the perfect boxers which claim his glory aboard.

+++His Muaythai art which awarded him K-One champion in 2004 and 2006 and deputy champion in 2005.

+++But in 2007, Buakhao may have felt sorry for himself when he lost to Japanese boxer in first round of K-One final.

Thai female promoter to held matches in eastern town

Priyakorn Rattanasuban, a Thai famouse female promoter, joins with local businessman for the matches being held in Thailand's eastern province of Chonburi.

The matches to be called "Suke M-150 Wansonghchai Pichit Loak" will include the fight between Chonlatarn Aor Piriyapinyo, ABCO Featherweight champion, from Thailad to defend his title against Michale Farerenas while WBC female champion, Winyoo Paradorn Gym will fight against Yuriko Kaewsamrit and WBC junior champion Tai Tor Silachai will meet Jeime Barcelona in the warm-up matches.

The matches will be held on 16 January 2008.

Thai female promoter confirms supporting women boxers.

Famous promoter Priyakorn Rattanasuban confirms her support to women boxers.

Priyakorn, a daughter of most famous Thai promoter Songchai, said she would continued her support for women boxers. She said she has disappeared from the stadium for a period of time but she has asked her staff to continue supporting women boxers.

Two Thai boxers defeat their opponents in Seagames.

 Veteran Somjit Jongjorhor and new comer Sailom Ardee defeated two Indonesian boxers in their first round match in Seagames.

Somjit, Thai flyweight boxer, fight Indonesian Bonic Usak Saveho in the first round when Thai veteran won RSC outclass in third round.

He will face Vietnam boxer in the next round.

***On 5 December every years, Thai people will show their loyalty to their beloved His Majesty King Bhumibol to show that Thailand is not well-known only ‘Muay Thai” but the kingdom also has  “Great King”
 
***During 2007, many boxing activities were held in celebrating His Majesty King Bhumibol 80th anniversary.

***Especially on 5 December, there are many boxing matches held for free audience at Rajadamneung boxing stadium.
 
***Before the Seagames starts, there was one big event ‘World Cup 2007’ held in Bangkok comprised by many Muay Thai boxers.
 
***But it was pity that this big tournament was interested only by foreigners, not by Thai fans.

***Lumpini boxing stadium will held big boxing matches to celebrate the 51st anniversary on Friday 7th December.

 ***Big promoter Virat Vachirarattanawong has let his beloved son, Nattadej, to held about ten boxing matches with the budget of more than two million baht (60,000 dollars) but the entrance fee cost only 200 baht (6 dollars). 

***The stadium will reward and honour boxing camps and people involved in boxing on the same day.

***But the reward over best boxing camp of the year is criticized fiercely until the chairman Theera needs to set up new committee to consider and let fans to be part of the selection. 

***People wonders why one of the five finalist called “Look Pra Bhat” is the camp under Rajadamneoun stadium but it was selected to award under Lumpini stadium.
