The Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand awarded Thai boxers for their success of 16 golds in the 24th Sea Games. General Taweep Jantaroj, the chairman, said ten men and six women claimed gold medals from the fight during Sea Games. The association spent 500,000 baht (14,700 dollars) for 16 winners and one runner-up. |

Muaythai boxer from Thailand won 10 of 11 finals at the 24th Sea Games. Light Flyweight Nattakorn Thongngarm beat Lao Ounpanya Peta, Flyweight Sonsiri Rathrong win RSC outclass over Myanmar’s Kyaw Min Htike. Sattra Paleenaram beat Velasco Brent of the Philippines in the Bantamweight and Chatpol Petsongsri defeated Myanmar’s Tun Lin in Light Weight final. |

Thai boxers won all ten golds in men boxing amateur finals. Kaeo Pongprayoon easily beat Laotian Sikham Vongpakhoun in Pinweight final by points and crowned first gold for Thailand. Light Flyweight Amnat Ruenroeng beat Mohamad Zamzai Azizi also by points and veteran boxer Somjit Jongjorhor won the third gold after his opponent, Godfry Castro of the Philippines retired after two minutes fight in the first round. |

Thai women boxers won six of seven boxing amateur finals at the 24th Sea Games. Pinweight Dueannapha Ngamlam grabbed first boxing gold for Thailand when referree annouced her victory over Vietnamese Yen Vu Thi by RSC outclass in the second round. Sopida Satumrum beat Kate Apari of the Philippines by points to secure Thailand's second gold in Ligt Flyweight final while Hansa Kadeewong was knocked out by Filipino Annie Albania in the first round. |

Nine Thai boxers reach boxing finals in Sea Games |

Five male and four female Thai boxers reach final matches in the 24th Sea Games. They were Pinweight Kaew Pongprayoon, Fly weight Somjit Jongjorhor, Featherweight Sailon A-Dee, Light welterweight Manas Boonjamnong and Middle weight Suriya Prasarthinpimai. All of them excepted Kaew will face Filipino boxers while Kaew will fight Myanmar boxer in the final. |
