Sakchai Tapsuwan, the president of Amateur Muaythai Association pushed Muaythai into Olympic Games after the court has ended Muaythai lawsuit that has been messing up for 5 years. He prepared to register as a sport association of Thai Olympic properly before conducting as planned. Santipab Intharaphat announced to pay all debts to sportsmen before dissolving Muaythai Association of Thailand.

Mr.Sakchai Tapsuwan, the president of Amateur Muaythai Association of Thailand revealed about 5 years Muaythai lawsuit. The highest administrative court accepted only Amateur Muaythai Association because it has been approved legally by Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT). The association still has many missions to complete. Firstly, it has to issue the regulation for arranging a competition, 39th national sport, “Chonburi Games”, at Chonburi province. It will be organized on 9-19 December. Previously, the association has never received any budget from SAT in the past five years. He will discuss with financial department of SAT again whether they can pay for retrospective expenses.

In addition, the association has to send sportsmen to compete Asian Boxing Championship in Uzbekistan on 25-30 June. After that, a big squad of sportsmen will be sent to compete in “1st Sports Accord Combat Games” or “World Martial Art Games” in Beijing, China on 27 August – 5 September. There are 3 domestic Muaythai competition programs, including “Prince’s Cup” in July, “Queen’s Cup” in August, and The battle of 100 nations and 100 hearts for the king on 27 November – 5 December at The Mall Bangkapi. The final match will be arranged greatly at Sanamluang on father day.

Lastly, Mr.Sakchai told about another important plan of the association. That was creating “Road Map” in order to push Muaythai towards Olympic Games. Initially, it has to be registered as a member of Olympic Commission of Thailand. Formerly, Muaythai Associatin of Thailand, led by Mr.Santipab, was a member. However, “Big Ja”, major general Jaruek Ariratchakaran, vice-president and secretariat the Olympic committee of Thailand has confirmed that it will proceed according to the court’s command. Consequently, Amateur Muaythai Association is ready to be a member.

Mr.Santipab Intharapat, who became the ex-president of Muaythai Association of Thailand according to the court’s command regarding to immediate dissolution of the association on 24 May, went to explain to subcommittee of sports welfare and privilege, under the commission of sports, for the case of Thai boxers and coaches’ complaint for not receiving allowance in many competitions.
Mr.Santipab explained that he was accused in 3 points. 1. About 50% share from sportsmen, he was not involved in this point. It was an agreement between coaches and boxers. Moreover, the coaches did not compel boxers to share the money. They share willingly. 2. Hiring a coach without background, or is called “Ghost Coach”, this case was not possible. However, he hired female coach to take care of sportswomen because she can understand women more than male coach can. In addition, such female coach has been working with the association for more than 10 years. She has been trained by Asian Boxing Federation many times. She surely has experience and is familiar with boxing society. 3. About allowance that sportsmen and coaches have not received, he accepted that was true. However, he have not withdrawn total amount of money from Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) yet but he gradually paid for coaches and sportsmen. In calculation, the debt is not very much.

Due to this, Mr.Santipab asked 9 sportsmen and coaches, who complained the association, to take remaining compensation at the association’s office at national stadium within 15 June. Mr.Sakon Wannaphong, the director of sport development department of SAT, will be a witness. He confirmed that he owed sportsmen and coaches for about two hundred thousand Baht. However, there is no need to hand in front of mass media because he has been judged too much already.

ศักดิ์ชาย ทัพสุวรรณ นายกสมาคมมวยไทยสมัครเล่น เดินหน้าดันมวยไทยเข้าโอลิมปิกเกมส์ หลังศาลสั่งปิดคดีมวยไทยที่วุ่นวายมา 5 ปี เตรียมขอสมัครเป็นสมาคมกีฬาในโอลิมปิกไทยให้ถูกต้อง ก่อนดำเนินตามแผนต่างๆ ที่วางไว้ ด้าน สันติภาพ อินทรพัฒน์ ประกาศเคลียร์เงินที่ค้างจ่ายกับนักกีฬา ก่อนยุบสมาคมมวยไทยแห่งประเทศไทย

นายศักดิ์ชาย ทัพสุวรรณ นายกสมาคมมวยไทยสมัครเล่นแห่งประเทศไทย เปิดเผยว่า หลังจากที่ปัญหาเรื่องมวยไทยดำเนินมาถึง 5 ปี ก่อนที่ศาลปกครองสูงสุดมีคำสั่งให้สมาคมมวยไทยสมัครเล่นแห่งประเทศไทย เหลือเพียงหนึ่งเดียว เพราะเป็นสมาคมที่ชอบด้วยกฎหมาย ภายใต้การรับรองของการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย (กกท.) นั้น สมาคมยังมีภารกิจอีกมากที่ต้องดำเนินการ เริ่มจากการออกระเบียบเพื่อจัดการแข่งขันคัดเลือกภาค กีฬาแห่งชาติ ครั้งที่ 39 "ชลบุรีเกมส์" ที่ จ.ชลบุรี จะเป็นเจ้าภาพวันที่ 9-19 ธันวาคม ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาสมาคมไม่เคยได้รับงบประมาณอุดหนุนจาก กกท.เลยตลอด 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา โดยจะได้หารือกับฝ่ายการคลังของ กกท.อีกครั้งว่าจะมีการจ่ายย้อนหลังได้หรือไม่

นอกจากนี้สมาคมยังจะต้องส่งนักกีฬาไปแข่งขันมวยเอเชี่ยนแชมเปี้ยนชิพ ที่อุซเบกิสถาน วันที่ 25-30 มิถุนายน จากนั้นจะส่งนักกีฬาชุดใหญ่เข้าร่วมการแข่งขัน "สปอร์ต แอคคอร์ด คอมแบทเกมส์" ครั้งที่ 1 หรือชื่อเดิม "เวิลด์มาเชี่ยลอาร์ทเกมส์" ที่กรุงปักกิ่ง ประเทศจีน วันที่ 27 สิงหาคม-5 กันยายน สำหรับการจัดการแข่งขันมวยไทยภายในประเทศนั้นมี 3 รายการสำคัญ ได้แก่ มวยไทยชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน "ปริ๊นซ์คัพ" เดือนกรกฎาคม, มวยไทยชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน "ควีนส์คัพ" เดือนสิงหาคม และศึกมวยไทย 100 ชาติ ร้อยดวงใจ เทิดไท้องค์ราชัน วันที่ 27 พฤศจิกายน-5 ธันวาคม ที่เดอะมอลล์ บางกะปิ และนัดชิงชนะเลิศจะจัดอย่างยิ่งใหญ่ที่ท้องสนามหลวงในวันพ่อแห่งชาติ
 
นายศักดิ์ชาย กล่าวในตอนท้ายว่า แผนสำคัญอีกประการหนึ่งของสมาคมคือการจัดทำ "โรดแม็พ" เพื่อผลักดันให้กีฬามวยไทยเข้าสู่การแข่งขันในกีฬาโอลิมปิกเกมส์ โดยเบื้องต้นก็จะต้องสมัครเข้าเป็นสมาชิกของคณะกรรมการโอลิมปิกแห่งประเทศไทยก่อน ซึ่งเดิมสมาคมมวยไทยแห่งประเทศไทยของนายสันติภาพเป็นสมาชิกอยู่ แต่ "บิ๊กจา" พล.ต.จารึก อารีราชการัณย์ รองประธานและเลขาธิการโอลิมปิกไทย ยืนยันแล้วว่าโอลิมปิกไทยจะปฏิบัติโดยยึดตามคำสั่งศาล ทำให้สมาคมมวยไทยสมัครเล่นแห่งประเทศไทยพร้อมจะเข้าเป็นสมาชิกได้ทันที

ด้านนายสันติภาพ อินทรพัฒน์ ซึ่งกลายเป็นอดีตนายกสมาคมมวยไทยแห่งประเทศไทย ตามคำสั่งศาลที่ให้ยุบสมาคมทันที เมื่อวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม ได้เดินทางไปชี้แจงต่อคณะอนุกรรมการสวัสดิการและสิทธิประโยชน์ด้านการกีฬา ในคณะกรรมาธิการกีฬา วุฒิสภา กรณีที่นักมวยไทยและโค้ชร้องเรียนว่ายังไม่ได้รับเบี้ยเลี้ยงในการแข่งขันกีฬาหลายรายการ
 นายสันติภาพ ชี้แจงว่า ตนเองถูกกล่าวหา 3 ประเด็น คือ 1.การขอแบ่งเงินรางวัลจากนักกีฬา 50 เปอร์เซ็นต์ เรื่องนี้ตนไม่เกี่ยวข้อง เป็นเรื่องที่ผู้ฝึกสอนกับนักมวยตกลงกันเอง และโค้ชก็ไม่ได้บังคับนักมวยให้แบ่งเงินแต่อย่างใด เพียงแต่ให้กันด้วยใจ 2.การจ้างโค้ชที่ไม่มีผลงานและไม่มีประวัติหรือ “โค้ชผี” กรณีนี้ไม่มีเด็ดขาด แต่จะมีการจ้างโค้ชผู้หญิงมาดูแลนักกีฬาผู้หญิง เนื่องจากจะเข้าใจนักมวยหญิงดีกว่าโค้ชผู้ชาย และโค้ชผู้หญิงรายดังกล่าวอยู่กับสมาคมมากว่า 10 ปี และเข้ารับการอบรมจาก สหพันธ์มวยแห่งเอเชียหลายครั้ง ย่อมมีประสบการณ์และความคุ้นเคยกับวงการมวยอยู่แล้ว 3.เรื่องเงินเบี้ยเลี้ยงที่นักกีฬาและโค้ชบอกว่ายังได้รับไม่ครบนั้น ตนยอมรับว่าเป็นเรื่องจริง แต่เนื่องจากยังเบิกจ่ายเงินจากการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย (กกท.) ไม่ครบ แต่ให้นักกีฬาและโค้ชเบิกเงินได้เรื่อยๆ ซึ่งเมื่อหักลบแล้ว ก็ไม่ได้ติดค้างเป็นจำนวนมากมาย

ทั้งนี้ นายสันติภาพ ได้ขอให้นักกีฬาและโค้ช 9 คนที่มีปัญหากับสมาคม มารับเงินที่ค้างได้ที่ทำการสมาคม ภายในสนามกีฬาแห่งชาติในวันที่ 15 มิถุนายน ซึ่งจะมีนายสกล วรรณพงษ์ ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายพัฒนากีฬาเป็นเลิศ กกท.เป็นสักขีพยาน โดยยืนยันว่าเมื่อหักลบแล้ว ตนติดค้างนักกีฬาและโค้ชทุกคนประมาณ 2 แสนกว่าบาท แต่ไม่จำเป็นต้องมอบเงินกันต่อหน้าสื่อ เพราะที่ผ่านมาตนถูกมองในแง่ลบมามากแล้ว
