“Sea Nao”, Wirat Wachirarattanawong, a promoter, and 2 Thai champions, Phongsaklek Kaiyanghadaogym, a flyweight champion of WBC, and Oleydong CP Freshmart, a strawweight of WBC, visited to pay respect. Mr.Samart Maluleam, a Bangkok representative was a coordinator.
Dr.Phong Wisetpaitun introduced 2 Thai champions, who dressed with white suits, to the prime minister that they travelled to protect the position and competed for the world championship in Japan tournament. Both of them were successful. This event does not happen frequently.

In addition, “Sea Nao”, Wachirattanawong, a big promoter asked the prime minister to support boxing society because it was extremely flat due to the impact from economy. Mr.Abhisit promised to assign the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Tourism and Sports to discuss about tax reduction for sponsors coming to support world championship competition, especially for a major institute like WBC and World Boxing Association.
After that, the Prime Minister Abhisit talked with 2 Thai champions and congratulated them for their success in the fight and protecting the position, which was good reputation of the country.

“Sea Nao” explained that he wanted the government to support the current world championship boxing competition. He has been organizing free boxing matches but the expenses were very high. It is very risky to fight abroad. Therefore, he wanted the government to give precedence to the major boxing institutes at present.
Mr.Abhisit said, “Thai boxing match is supported by politicians. Free boxing match is like a tradition. It would be difficult to cancel or to collect the money. I sympathize on this. This problem can be solved by changing the value of watching free boxing match. It is difficult to organize world-boxing competition in Thailand with income from sponsors only.
After visiting the prime minister, Dr.Phong, a big boss of C.P. executive board, revealed as a big sponsor of boxing society that he was impressed because the prime minister welcome boxers informally. He was glad that he prime minister promised to support boxing society.

“Sea Nao”, Wirat said that he was proud to have an opportunity to meet the prime minister, who talked informally with everyone. He also advised the solution for boxing society. In addition, the prime minister understood the problem in boxing society. He knew the difficulty in organizing the competition. This meeting will greatly benefit for boxing society.

คนมวยเฮนายกฯหนุนจัดชิงแชมป์โลกในไทย

วงการมวยไทยเตรียมเฮ อภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี เตรียมหนุนการจัดชิงแชมป์โลกสถาบันหลักในไทย โดยมาตรการแรกพิจารณาลดหย่อนภาษี สปอนเซอร์ที่เข้ามาสนับสนุน พร้อมอวยพร พงษ์ศักดิ์เล็ก และ โอเล่ห์ดง 2 แชมป์โลก ของสภามวยโลก (WBC) ในสังกัดเพชรยินดี ที่เข้ามาเยี่ยมคารวะให้ป้องกันแชมป์สร้างชื่อเสียงให้ประเทศชาติได้นานๆ

เมื่อเวลา 13.00 น. วันที่ 11 มิ.ย. ที่ผ่านมา ที่ตึกไทยคู่ฟ้า ทำเนียบรัฐบาล นายอภิสิทธิ์ เวชชาชีวะ นายกรัฐมนตรี เปิดห้องสีม่วง ตอนรับ ดร.พงษ์ วิเศษไพฑูรย์ ประธานคณะผู้บริหารฝ่ายปฏิบัติการ บมจ. เจริญโภคภัณฑ์ อาหาร (ซี.พี.),

"เสี่ยเน้า" วิรัตน์ วชิรรัตนวงศ์ โปรโมเตอร์ และสองแชมป์โลกชาวไทย พงษ์ศักดิ์เล็ก ไก่ย่างห้าดาวยิม แชมป์ฟลายเวต สภามวยโลก และ โอเล่ห์ดง ซีพีเฟรชมาร์ท แชมป์สตรอว์เวต สภามวยโลก เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะ โดยมี นายสามารถ มะลูลีม ส.ส.กทม. เป็นผู้ประสานงาน

ดร.พงษ์ วิเศษไพฑูรย์ ได้กล่าวแนะนำสองแชมป์โลกชาวไทย ซึ่งมาในชุดสูทสีขาวทั้งชุด ให้นายกฯ ได้รับทราบว่า ทั้งคู่เดินทางไปชกป้องกันตำแหน่ง และชิงแชมป์โลก ร่วมรายการเดียวกันที่ญี่ปุ่น และประสบความสำเร็จคว้าชัยชนะกลับมาทั้งคู่ ซึ่งเป็นประวัติการณ์ที่ไม่เกิดขึ้นบ่อยครั้งนัก

นอกจากนี้ "เสี่ยเน้า" วิรัตน์ วชิรรัตนวงศ์ โปรโมเตอร์ใหญ่ ยังร้องขอให้นายกรัฐมนตรี ช่วยเหลือวงการมวยที่ในขณะนี้กำลังซบเซาอย่างหนัก เพราะผลพวงจากสภาพเศรษฐกิจ ซึ่งนายอภิสิทธิ์ได้รับปากว่า จะมอบหมายให้กระทรวงการคลัง และกระทรวงท่องเที่ยวและกีฬาหารือกันในเรื่องการลดหย่อนภาษี ให้กับสปอนเซอร์ที่เข้ามาสนับสนุนการจัดศึกชิงแชมป์โลก โดยเฉพาะสถาบันหลักอย่างสภามวยโลก และสมาคมมวยโลก

จากนั้นนายกอภิสิทธิ์ ได้พูดคุยสอบถามสองแชมป์โลกชาวไทย พร้อมแสดงความยินดีที่ทั้งคู่ประสบชัยชนะในการชกและป้องกันตำแหน่งสร้างชื่อเสียงให้ประเทศชาติ

ขณะที่ "เสี่ยเน้า" ชี้แจงว่า อยากให้รัฐบาลช่วยเหลือ การจัดมวยโลกในปัจจุบันซึ่งจำเป็นต้องจัดมวยดูฟรีมาตลอด แต่ค่าใช้จ่ายนั้นสูงมาก หากไปชกยังต่างประเทศ ก็มีความเสี่ยงสูง จึงอยากให้รัฐบาลให้ความสำคัญของสถาบันมวยหลักๆ ในปัจจุบัน

โดย นายอภิสิทธิ์ กล่าวว่า การจัดมวยในเมืองไทย มีนักการเมืองเป็นผู้สนับสนุน ทำให้สามารถจัดให้ดูมวยฟรี จนกลายเป็นประเพณีไปแล้ว จะไปยกเลิกหรือเปลี่ยนมาเก็บเงินคงลำบาก ซึ่งตนก็เห็นใจ ปัญหานี้ต้องเริ่มแก้ที่การเปลี่ยนค่านิยมชมมวยฟรีเสียก่อน เพราะรายได้จากสปอนเซอร์เพียงอย่างเดียว การจัดมวยโลกในไทยคงลำบาก

หลังเข้าพบนายกรัฐมนตรี ทาง ดร.พงษ์ บอสใหญ่ฝ่ายบริหารของซี.พี. ในฐานะสปอนเซอร์ใหญ่ผู้ให้การสนับสนุนวงการมวย เผยว่า ตนรู้สึกประทับใจนายกฯ ที่ต้อนรับคณะนักมวยอย่างเป็นกันเอง และดีใจที่รับปากว่าจะให้การสนับสนุนวงการมวยอาชีพ

ขณะที่ "เสี่ยเน้า" วิรัตน์ กล่าวว่า ตนภูมิใจมากที่ได้มีโอกาสเข้าพบนายกฯ ซึ่งพูดคุยอย่างเป็นกันเองกับทุกๆ คน รวมทั้งแนะนำหนทางในการช่วยเหลือวงการมวย นอกจากนี้นายกฯ ยังมีความรู้ และเข้าใจปัญหาในวงการมวย รู้ถึงจุดบอดความยากลำบากในการจัดมวย การเข้าพบครั้งนี้เชื่อว่าน่าจะได้ประโยชน์สำคัญอย่างมากต่อคนในวงการมวยทีเดียว
