Muaythai booms, Czech wants to use it for police-soldier training.

Muaythai is renowned again. Czech Republic want to use it as self-defense curriculum for polices and soldiers after it has been highly famous. “Big Wieng”, General Chetta Thanajaro, the president of World Muaythai Council has confirmed that he was ready to support.

General Chetta Thanajaro, the president of World Muaythai Council and Dr.Sakchai Tapsuwan, the secretariat of World Muaythai Council, as a president of Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand, officially welcomed the representatives from Czech Republic. The delegation visited Thailand to learn proper Muaythai martial art, form the basic to proficient level for competition, led by David, Muaythai Czech trainer, at army club, Thewet, on 26 May.

Trainer David revealed that his visit was to request the World Muaythai Council for the detail of knowledge and documents about proper Muaythai. Currently, many people and youths in Czech Republic are interested in this sport. Muaythai is included in martial art centers. However, most of them do not teach properly and it might be harmful. Therefore, he persuaded his friends, who are high-rank polices and soldiers in his country, to travel here and learn seriously. He expected to open Muaythai course for about 20,000 military and police officers. So that they can choose to learn this type of martial art beside from wrestling, Karate-Do, and Taekwondo, which they learn daily. Nowadays, there are 4 Muaythai training center in Czech Republic and there are many participants. He wanted the World Muaythai Council to establish an official training center or send experts to teach in his own country in the future. There are many talented sportsmen. If they are trained properly, he believed that they could attend world Muaythai championship. They could also use it for security purpose because one-fourth of the team was personal bodyguards currently serving the president of Czech Republic.

General Chetta Thanajaro explained that the World Muaythai Council was pleased to support, especially for providing proficient trainers during two weeks in Thailand. This is to teach properly and fully, leading to a better improvement. In addition, he would find skilled coaches to train in Prague because there were ten thousands of interested police and military officers.
