'Jaruek' get in trouble, boxing association might be disqualified for Olympic

Major general Jaruek Areerajkaran said that Thai national team might be disqualified for Olympic Games 2012 in London if it does not arrange an election within 30 June as ordered by the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA). On 24 June, major general Jaruek Areerajkaran, the vice president and secretariat of Olympic Committee of Thailand revealed about the issue of Amateur Boxing Association of Thailand.

He tried to reconcile them by calling general Taweep Jantararoj, deputy president of the association, who has assigned General Narin Tabprasit to administrate in place of him. However, General Taweep did not accept the call. The reason why he needs to talk to General Taweep is that Olympic Committee previously talked to General Narin and received his cooperation. But everything reversed in the meeting since General Narin was considerate of the former committee.

“The association has to drink blood. If AIBA disqualifies our membership, everything ends. We are lost in any way fighting with AIBA. They do not care because they have complete authority. The association has right to bring prosecution to world court but we will be banned from this Olympic before the resolution is made. Nobody knows how many years Thailand would take to return as a member. We might have to wait for the current president of AIBA (Hsing-kuo Wu, Taiwanese) to leave boxing society. Now I am concerned about sportsmen. We tried to inquire AIBA whether we could assign Olympic Thai Committee and Sports Authority of Thailand to send sportsmen instead. But AIBA gave an ultimatum to reorganize an election within 30 June only, explained major general Jaruek.
