The Fairtex Training Camp has acquired muaythai champion Khem Sor Ploenjit in a million Baht deal. Khem, who holds the Ratchadamnern Stadium champion title of the 130 pound weight class, was a star fighter of Satien Satiensud. He will now train at Fairtex Sport Complex in North Pattaya as well as assuming the name “Khem Fairtex”. Fairtex’s chief Banjong Bunsarakum has offered as high as a million Baht for Khem to transfer to the camp, according to promoter Sum Fairtex who said Banjong wanted more top fighters to participate in international events. Banjong is known for making such deals to aggressively recruit well-known muaythai fighters. Two months ago, he added Karnchai Kor Bankluai to the list of his top-class fighters that include Atachai, Naruepol, Kaew, and Yodsaenklai, all of whom are using the suffix “Fairtex” in their names. Khem will continue to fight in the Onesongchai events, while Karnchai recently fought against Wutthidet Lukprabaht for Fairtex, but some other fighters decided to defect from the camp shortly after transferring to the camp. Those defectors include Komkaew Sit Romsai, Kaosod Kietwipat, and Nuengnum Por Pongnueng. |
