After a long absence, the hooliganism at the boxing stadium has returned. The flying water bottles, small coins, snacks and various tropical fruits have added one more problem to muaythai in addition to the incompetent judges, compromising promoters, and the fans who have been a bit too comfortable. Fighters Payaknum Sidniwat and Yodprabsuek Sidtanai-odd were both using all their excellent skills and technique in the match at Rajadamnern stadium. The fight was so exciting to Thai and foreigner spectators, and gamblers and mere fans. Payaknum and Yodprabsuek were so equally matched and no one would complain if one or the other would win the score. But judge Samas Chantakloi ruined this great match by nominating Payaknum as the winner while giving higher scores to Yodprabsuek. The referee, who did not look at scores, immediately declared Payaknum winning the fight. But then judge Prommes Chaksurak noticed the mistake and announced that the earlier result was incorrect and Yodprabsuek was the real winner. That was when the crowd went berserk and threw various items to the ring. The reporters and foreigners had to flee from their ringside seats, while judge Samas himself was hit with a water bottle. The judge had one regret – that the water bottle was full of water and not empty. Some other fans rushed to the judges and scrambled to look at the score cards. They, however, was blocked by judge Prommes who fiercely guarded the frightened judge Samas. The chaos ensued for a considerable time until Prommes decided to announce that the whole match was cancelled and result nullified.
That was how it happened. Let the lesson be learned, unless you want to see more flying water bottles, of course. News: Muaysiam number 1804 |
