Thai boxer withdrew from Olympic qualification

Thailand withdrawn one of its boxer from the Olympic qualification leg one helds in Bangkok.

The chairman of the Amateur Boxing Associaiton of Thailand, General Thaweep Chantaroj, said he had removed Suriya Prasarthinpimai from the first leg of Olympic qualification.

He said Suriya was not fit enough for this tournament.

Thaweep said he would consider replaced Suriya by Angkarn Chompoopeung if Angkarn can make his weight down to 75 kilogrammes.

“The Olympic qualification is tough tournament, if no one fits, it is difficult to win,” Thaweep said.

The association will reward 50,000 baht for Thai boxers who can reached final round which automatically qualify for Beijing Game.
