Five more men boxers and three more women have reached the finals of amateur boxing in the 24th Sea Games.
Amnat Ruengroeng in Light Flyweight will meet Malaysian Mohamad ZamZai Azizi in Thursday’s final. Worapot Petchkoom will fight Filipino Cantancio Junel in Bantamweight final while Pichai Sayota, who defeated Indonesian Lubis Miftah Rifai by RSC outclass in round 3, will see Filipino Ladon Joegin in Lightweight final. |

Five male and four female Thai boxers reach final matches in the 24th Sea Games. They were Pinweight Kaew Pongprayoon, Fly weight Somjit Jongjorhor, Featherweight Sailon A-Dee, Light welterweight Manas Boonjamnong and Middle weight Suriya Prasarthinpimai. All of them excepted Kaew will face Filipino boxers while Kaew will fight Myanmar boxer in the final. |

Muaythai boxers from Thailand started claiming its victory on first day of competition in Sea Games. Sornsiri Ratrong of 51 kilogrames category beat Laotian Buama Wongcham, Chatphon Phetsongsri beat Sathit Kierta from Laos in 60 kilograme category and Phanuphan Tanjad defeated Filipino Ruben Sumido. But Thailand’s female Muaythai boxer Yupaporn Kotthong lost to Laos’ Boonjan Siengprasert in 48 category. |

Light flyweight Amnart Ruenreng beat Vietnamese boxer, lightweight Pichai Sayotha defeated Loatian Udon Kansai, and Welterweight Non Boonchamnong won over Filipino Vilfredo Lopez by RSC and light heavyweight Angkarn Chompoopueng win RSC outscore over Malaysian Mustafa. |

Bangkok-based boxing stadium of Lumpini celebrated its 51st anniversary amid warmly support by fans.
Promoters and managers had organized ten famous Thailand’s championship matches which at least four champions failed to retain their titles. The main match was the fight between Sanchai Sor Kingstar, junior lightweight title holder who surprisingly lost to Orono Vor Phetphoon. |

Somjit, Thai flyweight boxer, fight Indonesian Bonic Usak Saveho in the first round when Thai veteran won RSC outclass in third round. He will face Vietnam boxer in the next round. |

Netr Sasiprapa Gym of Thailand withdraw from WBO Asia-Pasific junior flyweight challenge with Along Denoy, the champion from Philippines after hand injury.
Promoter and manager Kokiert Panichayarom said Netr had handache during training and can not fight against Filipino champion Along Denoy on 25 December. Kokiert said he would arrange Pramuansak Kokiert Gym, WBO Asia-Pasific to defend his junior bantamweight title with Marvin Tampos from Philippines. |

Thailand’s Prawet Victory Gym sets a total of 129 rounds training before fighting against Nicaragua fighter late this month. Prawet, WBA lightweight first ranked, started his training course with experienced Thai boxer and Seagame gold medalist. Prawet Victory Gym will leave Thailand ten days before the fight with Nicaragua boxer in Germany.
Attaporn Tangnusart, Prawet’s manager, said he had brought best trainer Pong Thawornwiwatbutr and former champion Kaosai Galaxy to train more tactics for Prawet. Prawet, WBA lightweight, first ranked, will leave Thailand for Germany on 18 December for the fight against Nicaragua’s Jose Alfaro, ranked number two, under Don King Promotion. |

Thai boxers won seven golds from Muay Thai World Cup 2007 beating former champion Russia. In the lat two days of the tournament , nine Thai boxers including two female boxers, went to final round. And seven of them including one female one gold medals, toppled Russia, a former champion, which run second with five golds. |
