Thai boxer postpones his defend fight

 PABA Lightweight defend match will be postpone for a month while the country mourns for late Princess Galyani.

Promoter Kokiert Panichayarom said he would postponed the defending match by Rattanaphon Kokiert Gym for a month from the early sched of 11 January.

He said the match is expected to held by Febuary.

Thai televisions cancel its weekend boxing programs

Thailand’s state televisions decided to cancel its regular boxing programs this weekend in the mourning ceremony for late Princess Galyani, only sister of reversed Thai King.

At least five boxing programs which coordinate by promoter and television channels said they have cancelled their regular weekend boxing matches this weekend during the country’s morning period.

The cancellation included the matches organized by famous promoter Sawek Pinsinchai.

Thai boxer fails for WBA challenge title

Nicaraguan Jose Alfaro won the vacant WBA Lightweight title over Thai veteran Prawet Victory Gym.
 
Alfaro's right hook sent Prawet down in round two before Thai boxer controlled the game through round eight when Alfaro's upper cut sent Thai veteran down to count for the second time. Judges also cut both boxers points during the fight before the new champion won by a split decision in which Spinard judge ruled favor for Thai while Swede and Belguian judges ruled favor for Alfaro.

Thai promoter annouces Muaythai matches

Promoter Shane Muangchon selected best Muaythai matches to fight next week.

Shane said the main fight will be the fight between Nong Oe Sith Aor and Singdam Kiertmoo Kao while the other matches will be Dejbanjong Faretex against Yuthajak Kaewsamrit, Norasing Lookbanyai against Somboonbab Sor Phumphan.

Three Thai PABA champions to fight

Three Thai champions of PABA will defend and fight two warm-up matches in January.

Rattanaphon Kokiert Gym, Flyweight champion, will defend his title against Filipino Ricchie Mepranum on 11 January.

The other warm-up matches will be the fight between PABA Lightflyweight champion Wissanu Kokiert Gym against Rick Lumagad from the Philippines and Duangphet Kokiert Gym, Super Flyweight champion.

Thai boxer facing delay challenging match

Thailand's Napapon Kiertsakchokechai was facing a delay of his challenging fight after the title holder decides to fight against his fellow boxer.

Suchart Pisitvuttinan, Napapon's manager, said his boxer who currently ranked number one in WBC Super Bantamweight, would have to delay the challenging fight against Israel Vazquez of Mexico for several after the champion will fight against his fellow Rafael Marquez on 1 March.

However, Suchart said he was disappointed as the fight between champion and boxer ranked number one has not taken place for three years.

Thai female promoter to held matches in eastern town

Priyakorn Rattanasuban, a Thai famouse female promoter, joins with local businessman for the matches being held in Thailand's eastern province of Chonburi.

The matches to be called "Suke M-150 Wansonghchai Pichit Loak" will include the fight between Chonlatarn Aor Piriyapinyo, ABCO Featherweight champion, from Thailad to defend his title against Michale Farerenas while WBC female champion, Winyoo Paradorn Gym will fight against Yuriko Kaewsamrit and WBC junior champion Tai Tor Silachai will meet Jeime Barcelona in the warm-up matches.

The matches will be held on 16 January 2008.

Thai champion hardly retains the title

PABA Minimumweight Champion Kwanthai Chor Na Pattalung of Thailand defeated Indonesian boxer.

Effendy of Indonesian started the game strongly and sent Thai champion down to count in round five.

But Kwanthai moved better and gained points from his series of hooks and jabs until the bell rang.

Three judges handed Kwanthai unanimous victory in his first defending fight.

Filipino boxer claims ABCO title

Filipino Ariel Delgado became new ABCO Super Bantamweight title by defeated former champion Rajamongkol Kokiert Gym.

Delgado started his aggressive fight against former champion in the first two rounds and his series of  hooks sent Rajamongkol down in the third round and claimed the Super Bantamweight title.

Rajamongkol’s manager, Kokiert Panichayarom said he was not concerned about the loss as Thai boxer has less experiences and he will support Rajamongkol to challenge the title back.

ABCO Champion Rajamongkol Kokiert Gym was ready to defend his title against Filipino boxer.

Rajamongkok and Ariel Delgado of the Philippines faced each other for the weight check before the two boxers will fight in Thailand’s northeastern province of Yasothorn.

Thai Super Bantamweight Champion said he was confident to defend his title even Delgado will have good record in fighting against Thai boxer.
