General Chetta Tanajaro, former Thai army chief and the chairman of Thai amateur boxing association, announced himself as the leader and a candidate of new political party. Chetta, who was an army chief during 1996-1998, and became politician after his retirement for dissolved Thai Rak Thai Party, was selected as the leader of Ruem Jai Thai Chart Pattana party, a new party set up for upcoming election late this year. |

Five Thai boxers who authometically qualify for Olympic next year in China had been rewarded. The boxers are Lightflyweight's Amnart Ruenroeng, Flyweight's Somjit Jongjohor, Featherweight's Sailom Adee, Lightweight's Pichai Saiyotha and Weltherweight's Non Boonjumnong. The 200,000 baht (5,880 US dollars) for silver medals and 100,000 baht for bronz medal. |

Taengthong Kietaweesuk, a Seagame silver medalist, will challenge for the vacant Bantamweight IBF Pan Pasific against North Korea boxer. Kietkririn Promotion has supoort its boxer, Taengthong, who turned pro until he ranked runner-up in Bantamweight catergory of IBF, will fight for the vacant champion on Friday 23 November at temporary bout in suburb of Bangkok. Taengthong's promoter, Eakarat Chaichotcheung, said he hopes his boxer will become Thailand's next champion because he is veteran boxer who has strong skills. |

US Promoter Don King won the bid of 100,500 US dollars to organise the bout for vacant WBA Lightweight titile between Thai boxer and Nicaragua fighter. Prawet Victory Gym of Thailand and Nicaragua's José Alfaro will fight eighter in Nicaragua or United State in next January. Prawet will recieved 50 percent of the bid which count of around 50,250 US dollars. Attaporn Tangnusart, Prawet's manager, said Prawet will return to the camp for training by next week. |

Thailand's first female champion Samson Sor Siriporn will fight Japanese Momo Koseki in her second defend title match in Thailand. World Boxing Council (WBC) light flyweight holder Samson will fight in her second defend titile match with Koseki in Bangkok's shopping mall on Monday 19 November. It will be the second defend title for Samson since she won the title in April this year. Samson holds record of nine winn, two losts while her opponent holds record of three wins and one lost. There will be another two matches - the boxing bout between Thai Wandee Singwangcha and Filipino boxing for the vacant ABCO Flyweight title and the fight between Nong Mai Sor Siriporn and Japanese Kayoko Ibata for WBC International minimumweight title. Denkaosan Kratingdaeng Gym of Thailand failed to grabbed WBA flyweight title after the judges decided a draw in his fight against Japanese champion Takefumi Sakata in Tokyo. Denkaosan, ranked second in the WBA, fired series of power-packed punches against Sakata since the begining of the bout and claimed blood from Sakata in the 7th round. After the half way fight, Denkaosan seemed tired before he allowed the champion to fight back. Thai fighter also recieveed one-point penalty for holding in the 12th round, which decided the outcome of the bout. |

The famous OneSongChai program promoter, Songchai Rattanasuban, revealed that his own boxer, Lily Rajprasong-Gym, has been scheduled to have a show fight in the Philippines this November 9. Lily accepted that she was excited about this match because it’s her first time to go abroad and she set high goal for this match. After coming back, she wanted to vie for Winyu Paradorn-Gym, the famous female boxing champion of Thai people at present. For Winyu Paradorn-Gym, she fought with Tukta Sor. Ratana, another OneSongChai boxer, in M-150 OneSongChai program last October 23 at an Amornwuttikul makeshift ring in Ayuthaya province where Channel had televised live at 15.00 – 17.00 hrs.
